Mobile Web Sites (WAP)
How does your career site look on a mobile device? Chances are, not very good. mJob makes sure any potential candidate with a mobile Web browser can view your jobs in any of the thousands of mobile formats and easily apply to them via your applicant tracking solution for when they get to their desktop.
To make it happen, all we need is an XML feed of your job postings to create your mobile site, commonly referred to as WAP or Wireless Application Protocol. Sites are also mapped to your domain (example: m.yourcompanyjobs.com, mjob.yourcompany.com or m.yourcompany.jobs) for maximum SEO benefit and flexibility.
All mJob sites adhere to W3C and .MOBI standards for mobile Web development and look great on all mobile browsers, including the iPhone.
Our mobile site solution is a SaaS model, so nothing is hosted on your site and there is no special software to download. And we’ll make sure you’re up-to-date with the latest mobile protocols. SaaS also means your on a month-to-month basis, so the risk to you and your company is minimal.
A word on metrics - Measuring the success of your mobile site is different from traditional Web site tracking, because most mobile devices strip out code, like the kind you would find with Google Analytics. mJob tracks your success and provides easy-to-understand reporting, so you can make smart marketing decisions by testing how things are going.
SMS (Short Message Service)
SMS, or short message service, is the most widely used data application on the planet, with 2.4 billion active users, or 74 percent of all mobile phone subscribers sending and receiving text messages on their phones (Wikipedia).
Additionally, over 90 percent of text messages are read by its recipient. Simply put, if you want to reach a wide range of job applicants and candidates, you’d be hard pressed to beat text messaging.
mJob enables employers to:
- Choose a keyword that identifies your company or campaign. Example could be: Text SBUX to 12345.
- Customize a reply to recipients.
- Provide a call to action, including giving access to a mobile-friendly career site or landing page.
Phone numbers are stored for future marketing communications or recruiting initiatives. You can also set-up an automated e-mail alert so you know the moment someone has responded to your campaign, allowing you to make a follow-up communication. Get to the best candidates immediately.
MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service)
In addition to initiating simple text message campaigns, mJob puts the power of multimedia in the hands of employers. Build your employment brand by enabling a job seeker to download and view a recruiting video in the palm of her hand. Companies can also send audio or photos to prospective employees. Put your podcast to work.
MMS content is served in a similar fashion as SMS (see above).
iPhone Application Development
Looking to tap into the growing millions of iPhone users? mJob will create an application for you that users can find in the Apple iTunes application store.
All mJob sites are iPhone-friendly, but if you want to go that extra mile and get your jobs onto iPhone screens everywhere, this is an option worth considering.
Bluetooth Broadcasting or Bluecasting
Imagine exhibiting at a job fair and relaying a customized message to attendees who have Bluetooth-enable phones. Or promoting your job opportunities to customers in your brick-and-mortar store. Our Bluetooth broadcasting solution gives you the power to do so. Messages can be sent up to a 300-foot radius and doesn’t cost recipients a penny. The ultimate in proximity marketing.
Scan Marketing
Bring your jobs and your employment brand to life with the click of a camera phone. Here’s how it works: A mobile user clicks a pic of a QR code, also known commonly as EZCodes or 2D codes, and are instantly taken your recruitment information, which could include links to job postings or video.
Deliver real-time content to job seekers precisely when they’re engaged with your product. And that means more qualified candidates to your opportunities.
